We are in the process of nominating and appointing State
Chairs in each of the 50 states. We welcome nominations from patriotic citizens
like you.
Criteria for State Chair:
-Dedicated to our mission of convincing the President of the
United States to designate a state funeral for the last Medal of Honor holder
from World War II.
-Willing to conduct press interviews, build relationships
with local media, suggest stories and organize and host at least one event per
year.
-Willing to write and submit letters to the editors of local
newspapers and blogs to educate citizens and promote our cause. (Important
submission times include World War II anniversaries such as Pearl Harbor Day,
VE Day, VJ Day and D Day.)
-Personally recruit and lead an eight-person State Board.
-History of service in one more of the following types of
activities: non-profit leadership, political campaigns, church boards,
synagogue committees and other religious organizations, independent businesses
and corporate boards.
-Maintain open and responsive relationships with national headquarters.
-Accurately and enthusiastically speak publicly on behalf of
our organization.
Desired but Not Required:
-Former president of VFW Post, Rotary, Lions, Optimist or
similar organization
-Independent business owner, founder or co-founder of a startup
business
-Experience in advertising, media or public relations
-Prior military service or family service in World War II
-Elected or aspiring to public office
Note: Founding State Chairs will serve until December 31,
2018.
